Mumbai, Aug 8 (IANS) Model-turned-actor Mugdha Godse has become quite fussy about walking the ramp, as she feels that every actor has of late started strutting on the ramp.

"I stopped modelling when I signed 'Fashion' as I was busy working. Few appearances I did on the ramp, but it was really becoming a cliche as everyone was doing it and I thought I would do it on special occasions like today," Mugdha told IANS at Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2011 here Sunday, where she was the showstopper for Delhi-based designer Reynu Taandon.

Taandon's fall-winter line 'The Golden Collection' is themed on a modern interpretation of the Mughal era. Each of her creations had gold and copper interspersed with vibrant shades of maroon, green and rose.

Talking about the collection, Taandon said: "The collection is called gold collection because it's inspired by the Mughal era. What would it take to make a modern begum, the collection shows. We have taken the motive and embroideries of the Mughal era but the silhouettes are of today's time."

Dressed in a cream-coloured lehnga and blue velvet vest, both designed with golden motifs, Mugdha mentioned that it was light and meant for traditional occasions.

"It's very light and it fits best for an occasion like Mehndi or a reception," said Mugdha.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who discovered Mugdha and gave her recognition through his film "Fashion", was present at the show with his wife.

Madhur, however, said he attended the show primarily to encourage Reynu.

"I was here for Reynu Taandon. She is a very dear friend of ours. Her designs have great texture, great clothes, very innovative and great. Mugdha was also great but I am basically for Reynu, she is a good friend of mine," Madhur told IANS.
