Mumbai, July 23 (IANS) Musicians Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy roped in Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali to sing "Mitwa" - a chartbuster from Karan Johar's latest offering "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna" - as they felt his voice suited the song.

"We were in Goa composing the track and wanted an exotic voice for the song. Shankar heard Shafqat's song 'Ankhon ke sagar' on radio and was quite impressed with his voice. He immediately messaged a friend for the singer's name," says Ehsaan Noorani.

"We wanted to work with Shafqat since then for something really big and 'Mitwa' happened."

"Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna" is the composer trio's second film with Dharma Productions, the first being "Kal Ho Naa Ho", which was declared as one of the biggest musical hits of 2004.

Their fans can stand back for Farhan Akhtar's "Don" and Shaad Ali's "Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom".
