'Savdhan India' tries to analyse crime, sensitize people
May 2, 2012 IANS"Through this show, we are trying to analyse crime and why it happens. We want to understand the psychology behind it. Our motive is also to create awareness so that people are more careful while interacting with others," Sushant, who earlier presented "Wanted: High Alert" on television, told IANS.
The show premiered on Life OK April 23 and shows real-life crime stories.
TV actor Gaurav Chopra, who is co-hosting the show, says the main aim is to sensitise people about such crimes.
"It is also to make them proactive, so that these crimes can be prevented. These crimes affect me to a great extent and this show is exactly what I want to do."
The show narrates real life crime stories after a lot of research work.
"I did research and a lot of interesting facts came out. Last year the maximum crime rate was in Kerala, which is shocking as it is the most literate state. But crime is not related to literacy, in fact is is due to the frustration which is building up in people," said Gaurav who was last seen in the show "Uttaran".
