New Delhi, June 24 (IANS) Bollywood film "Sarkar", set for release next week, is a family drama that viewers will relate to a lot, its director Ram Gopal Varma said here Friday.

"'Sarkar' has all the elements of a family drama. With its strong plot and orientation towards family values, the movie will attract the Indian public in general," Varma told reporters.

"The viewers will find their family in this movie."

According to the director, "Sarkar" is about a "family in a powerful position and a man who does things outside the law".

"He lives life according to own terms and nevertheless has a sense of right and wrong," Varma said. "You may find a touch of feudalism in the movie."

"Sarkar" has Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan playing the role of father and son. The film also has Katrina Kaif and Kay Kay Menon.

Abhishek Bachchan, who arrived with Varma for promotion of the film, promised "pure entertainment". "You will enjoy the movie since you face the situation (shown in the film) in everyday life," he said.

"The audience will relate to the 'Sarkar' family."

Abhishek said it was a learning experience working with his father Amitabh.

"This is my second movie with my father and Ramu (Ram Gopal Varma) as well. The experience was that of a learner," Abhishek said.

Varma disagreed that his film was inspired by "The Godfather". "It's entirely different from 'The Godfather'. After watching the film, you may beg to differ in your views," he said.
