Rukhsar counting on 'Sarkar'

Jul 1: Her role in "D" may not have been very significant, but Rukhsar is counting on "Sarkar" to make a difference to her career. In the film, Rukhsar plays the role of a deglamorised housewife who continues to face oppression by her husband in the interest of the family and her in-laws.

"It is not a very lengthy role but it is definitely performance-oriented and I quite enjoyed doing the film," she says.

Rukhsar has also landed a very interesting role in Rumi Jaffrey's Salman-Priyanka starrer, which is scheduled to go on the floor shortly. Besides, she is looking forward to making her stage debut with an Urdu play, the details of which are not yet known.

The decision was made recently when she happened to meet thespian Naseeruddin Shah who came up with the idea. "Naseerbhai's a great actor and director and I am looking forward to teaming up with him." Click the Movie button below for more info:
