New Delhi, May 4 (IANS) Actor-director Nagesh Kukunoor, who has made films like "Iqbal" and "Dor", will select a contestant from Sony TV's reality music show "K for Kishore" to sing in his forthcoming film "Kishoreda".
While the show attempts to hunt for a voice that can succeed the legacy of the late legendary singer Kishore Kumar, Kukunoor's film is based on the singer's life.
"I decided to select a voice from a talent hunt show so that I can avoid doing an extensive search and screening for the right voice for my film.
"Since this show ('K for Kishore') is directly related to my film, it was a conscious decision to pick a voice from here," Kukunoor told IANS.
In the final episode to be telecast May 4, the director is set to announce the name of the chosen contestant.
