Raw characters, real cinema on Lisa Haydon's wish list
Oct 30, 2012 IANS"I would like to play girls that have brave souls and character and something that is raw. I would like to work in real cinema because I kind of relate to that kind of role better," Lisa told IANS.
"The roles that I am looking for are de-glam ones," she added
Last seen in David Dhawan's "Rascals", she debuted with the 2010 release "Aisha", in which she had a small role of an NRI businesswoman.
She said: "I am not opposed to smaller roles either. I think you can showcase talent and character in smaller roles as well. I am open to everything that is meaningful."
Now the 26-year-old will be seen on the small screen hosting "Hunt For Kingfisher Calender Girl 2013" on NDTV Good Times.
And being a Kingfisher Calendar Girl herself, she said it is a great platform "if you want to be a model or a supermodel or get into Bollywood".
"Because the kind of media exposure a Kingfisher Calendar Girl gets, it's definitely the best platform. It's like a big break as every big producer, director or industrialist sees the calendar," she added.
Asked what qualities are they looking for in the winner, Lisa said: "They have to be confident, beautiful and a good storyteller as well - someone who is an all round package."
