'Pathshaala' composer to score music for 'John Day'

Hanif Sheikh, who composed music for Shahid Kapoor-starrer "Paathshaala", is set to score the soundtrack for the movie "John Day".

The thriller, directed by debutant Solomon Ahishor, will have five songs of different genres.

"I am very happy to be associated with a film like 'John Day'," Sheikh said in a statement.

The movie, produced by Anjum Rizvi and K. Asif, features Naseeruddin Shah, Randeep Hooda, Elena Kazan, Shernaz Patel, Vipin Sharma and Sharat Saxena.

"I loved the script, and the fact that it involves such good actors makes my belief stronger in the project. I am sure people are going to love the music of the film.
