New Delhi, July 12 (IANS) Comedian Raju Srivastav, who has acted in films like "Tezaab", "Baazigar", "Phir Hera Pheri" and "Bombay To Goa", is not interested in doing films right now. He says he wants to concentrate on live shows and the small screen.

"There was a time when it was said that if you want to be popular, there is no better way than to get into films. But I feel that we have come a long way today and films no longer remain the sole target. So many channels are coming up and they are widening the prospect," Raju told IANS.

"However, for me live shows will always remain my first love. Second on the list comes television, I am also doing radio, and films come much later," said the artist who got his due after featuring on the reality show "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge".

Raju was in the capital for the launch of Sri Adhikari Brothers' new channel Mastii.

The 46-year-old, who nursed the dream of becoming a comedian since childhood, says he never thought of being number one.

"Shekhar Suman, Johnny Lever, Asrani and Salman Khan - all of them feel that recognition came to me late but I am completely fine with it. I have never thought of achieving the number one status and I am not interested in it," he said.

"I have enjoyed each and every moment of my career," he added.

Raju, who is from Kanpur, reveals there is unlimited talent in small cities and villages.

"There is so much talent in small cities and villages. They should be given an opportunity to come out and showcase their potential," he said. Click the Movie button below for more info:
