Let young politicians be promoted: Kunal
Mar 5, 2009 IANS"Youngsters are our future and they should come forward to cleanse the politics as everybody says that it is a dirty game but nobody comes forward to take the responsibility. Young politicians should be promoted by our leaders," he told media persons here.
Kunal, who came into limelight with his role of a Muslim youth in blockbuster "Rang De Basanti", said: "Very soon I am planning to go to different schools and colleges to motivate our youngsters to give their votes. We have to enlighten people to bring a change in the society."
Talking about his forthcoming movie, "Lamhe", he said it was "a meaningful movie" and the reflection of the situation that is prevailing in Kashmir Valley. "In future, I will also try my hand in the field of direction," he added.
On his political plans, he said: "I can join politics in future with a motive of bringing some change but not now. As right now, I will do it only through my films."
Kunal was in the city Thursday to launch Mahindra Renault's new variant, ?Logan Edge Connect'.
On his brand associations, he said: "I am very choosy about brands; they should be prestigious and depict style, luxury and speed. Speed really thrills me but I do not recommend it for everyone."
Describing animation films as the future of the entertainment industry, Kunal said that it was a good experience of giving his voice to the character of Lord Rama in animated mythological movie "Mahayoddha Rama".
"There is a big market of animated cinema and this industry has a bright future. I felt proud that I lent my voice for a legendary character in an animated movie," he said.
