Konkona's 'Deadline' set for November release

Mumbai, Oct 28 (IANS) Director Tanveer Khan's abduction thriller "Deadline - Sirf 24 Ghante" starring Konkona SenSharma, Sandhya Mridul, Irrfan Khan and Rajit Kapoor is set to hit screens Nov 10.

Producer Ravi Agarwal and Tanveer didn't have to struggle to find a big name to present the film. They organised just one preview of "Deadline" and three corporate houses pitched in. They finally zeroed in on Percept Pictures.

"Who says that films are not selling these days? A good film gets buyers any time. We did not even show our film to distributors. We had three corporates interested in presenting the film and we went with Percept Pictures because their network is very strong. We are very happy with them," said Agarwal.

"'Deadline' will create my identity as a writer and director. This will become my reference point," said Tanveer.

According to him, the story is not entirely unusual but its presentation will make it unique.

"Deadline-Sirf 24 Ghante" has one of the best technical teams with Baba Azmi for cinematography, Dileep Shukla for screenplay and dialogue, Sanjay Sankla as editor, Bijon Dasgupta for art direction, Bhiku Verma for action and Jitendra Chaudhary for sound.
