Imitation best form of flattery: Farah Khan on plagiarism

New Delhi, Aug 17 (IANS) Plagiarism is not usually taken kindly, but jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali has a different take on this. An Indore based designer has reportedly copied her designs, but Farah is not only amused, she is also keeping the copycat's name under wraps.

"Heard that a novice designer from Indore has plagirised my work. All I can say is I'm flattered as "imitation is d best form of flattery"," Farah tweeted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

However Farah, daughter of yesteryears star Sanjay Khan, didn't reveal the name of the designer as she feels this will give her undue importance.

"I will not name her as she will gain importance through my body of work. As people don't care how they achieve fame, be it infamously as well," posted the designer who received the Best Jewellery Designer of the Year Award at the Retail Jeweller India Awards.

"But amused I definitely am. Pray that god gives her talent to sustain her profession in the long run. Ha ha & not the plagirising type," she further posted.

Pop singer Beyonce Knowles and tennis star Serena Williams have been spotted wearing Farah's designs.
