Geeta Basra walks the ramp as showstopper at IIJW
Aug 1, 2011 IANSDressed in all-red net lehenga and velvet overcoat with a big red bindi, Geeta sported antique gold jewellery collection - long neck pieces, a choker and a pair of heavy gold earrings.
"The jwelleries are of antique design so this dress is specially designed, so that it complements them," Geeta told reporters after the show.
Leading manufacturer of machine made gold chains, Sangam Chains has gained expertise in manufacturing plain gold, diamond studded and handmade antique and fusion jewelleries.
"The jwellery is temple jewellery. These are exclusively designed for the event. It took us around two-and-half months to finish it," said Devendra Dayal, art consultant with Sangam Chains.
Winner of Solitaire Awards in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, Sangam Chains is also known for creating exquisite clothing out of precious metal, a few of which were showcased at the show.
She has recently been in the news for being roped in to do an item number in upcoming film "Zilla Ghaziabad".
