Eros to release 'Agneepath' globally

Mumbai, Dec 7 (IANS) Eros International Media Ltd has announced that it will release Dharma Productions' "Agneepath" in the international markets.

"'Agneepath' marks the first of the big ticket releases next year and Eros is excited about associating with Dharma Productions to present this thrilling action film on a global platform," said Pranab Kapadia, President-Marketing & Distribution, Eros International, in a statement.

The action drama stars Hrithik Roshan as Vijay Dinanath Chauhan originally played by megastar Amitabh Bachchan in Chandan Barot's directorial venture of the same name.

"Audiences are looking forward to Hrithik's portrayal of the legendary Vijay Dinanath Chouhan while Sanjay Dutt's villainous look has stirred much curiosity. The promos have evoked very good reactions and we are anticipating a very encouraging response to the film," Kapadia added.

"Agneepath", set to release Jan 26, is directed by debutant Karan Malhotra.
