'Ek Ajnabee' premiere cancelled

Mumbai, Dec 8 (IANS) Producers of "Ek Ajnabee", Bunty and Jassi Walia of G.S. Entertainment, have cancelled the premiere of the film following Amitabh Bachchan's recent surgery.

Walia had planned a star-studded premiere of the film for Thursday, reports Bollywood Trade. "There is no question of having a premiere when Mr. Bachchan is still recuperating in hospital, but we are glad that he is returning to normalcy.

"It has been a trying period for all of us over the past few days, especially director Apoorva Lakhia, who is very close to him. Thankfully, that phase is over," said Walia.

Walia had earlier organised a grand event in New York, attended by the who's who of Hollywood's celebrity circuit. Bachchan had specially taken time out from the schedule of Karan Johar's "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna" being shot in New York to attend the show.
