Mumbai, Oct 8 (IANS) Actor Arjun Rampal, who plays an IPS officer named Adil Khan in "Chakravyuh", says the film is very close to his heart as it's a rare, complete package of entertainment with a message.

"This film is very close to my heart because you get very few such films that have a strong message and are also entertaining, have great action, which is what I love to do. It has a nice love story and through that, you get a very strong message," the 39-year-old said here Sunday in an interview.

"Chakravyuh", directed by Prakash Jha, is said to be based on the Naxalite (Maoist) movement.

"The message in our film is that there are two Indias in the country today - one in the cities, the India shining one and there is one non-developing India in villages. The Maoist movement in such places is increasing," he added.

Elaborating on the film's background, Arjun said: "I've gone to such villages and have seen the circumstances in which people are living. There is no electricity, roads, schools, hospitals or basic things. People go there, take away their lands and start mining, they get some money.

"These people earn Rs.5,000 crore and give the real owners Rs.5 lakh, which finish off soon and then they don't know what to do."

Arjun says the film will make people understand the seriousness of the matter.

"This movement is a very serious issue and this we will show to the public that your country has got entangled in this 'chakravyuh'. How to get out of this chakravyuh (labyrinth), you'll understand after watching the film," he said.

"Chakravyuh" also features Abhay Deol, Manoj Bajpayee and Esha Gupta, and hits theatres Oct 24.
