Bhandarkar to be father in October

Mumbai, May 26 (IANS) Director Madhur Bhandarkar has a lot of reason to be excited - on both the personal and the private fronts. He'll be a father for the first time and his much awaited "Corporate" is complete.

"That's right. My wife Renu is expecting our baby some time in October. Of course, I am very excited," Bhandarkar told IANS.

Bhandarkar feels the year 2006 has been more rewarding than the last year.

"After a traumatic 2005, the year 2006 has been a time of recovery and victory. First the National Award for 'Page 3', which was a great feeling... Now my 'Corporate' is complete. And it looks really good.

"I promise you those who are expecting me to fall on my face after 'Page 3' and those who say 'Page 3' was just a freak case are going to be sorely disappointed."

Bhandarkar starts shooting for "Signal" with Kunal Khemu and Neetu Chandra at the end of this month.

In the meanwhile, he shoots down rumours of a sequel to "Chandni Bar" in which Tabu played the main lead.

" 'Chandni Bar 2' is just a title I have registered. Just like I have registered 'Jessica' as a possible title. If you remember, I had done a film called 'Satta' that in parts resembled the Jessica Lal case."
