Ananda Bazar Patrika enters entertainment segment
Oct 9, 2006 IANSThe ABP group will initially pump in Rs.200 million to primarily create content for TV and mobiles.
"The new media and digital content segment is growing in excess of 50 percent annually and we are privileged to join hands with the ABP group to leverage the best resources and expertise of both companies offering rapid access to the fast growing entertainment industry," Kaleidoscope managing director Bobby Bedi told reporters here.
He hinted at the possibility of rapid growth in this sector with the production of short movies made specifically for mobile phones as well as the Internet.
"In the future we might see small length feature films made specifically for mobile phones and the Internet replete with a complete script just like normal movies," Bedi said.
