Akshaye may model realtime

Mumbai, March 15 (IANS) Ever since he walked the ramp for "Salam-e-Ishq", Akshaye Khanna has become the designers' fav showstopper. The actor has been swamped by offers for the fashion week beginning March 22.

But Akshaye, who wears his own style, has yet to confirm whether he would be modelling for the fashion week.

"The film was just a one off thing - it was a bit embarrassing too since I hadn't done it earlier," said Akshaye. "I'm quite selective and believe in having my own sense of style. Life is not about following trends."

Akshaye appears to be following in Aamir Khan's footsteps. He believes in walking his own path, not in following the herd mentality: "Fame doesn't excite me. No star strappings for me."

The actor has just signed three films and like Aamir asked at least 50 questions before putting his name on the dotted line. He's decided to act in "quality projects only".

But once Akshaye commits, he stays committed.
