Mumbai, Feb 6 (IANS) Director duo Abbas-Mustan have always done their bit for charitable causes, albeit quietly. During a recent visit to an orphanage in Gujarat for a shooting, an example of their largesse came to light.

Speaking of the incident the more vocal brother Abbas told IANS: "Yes, we donated some money at the girls' orphanage in Gujarat where we had gone for the mahurat of a Gujarati children's film 'Adukiya Dadukiyo'.

"You see it's being directed by our former assistant Amar Solanki and one of the girls from the orphanage also stars in the film. We happily went there and had a memorable time."

Abbas was deeply moved by the spirit of the children without parents.

"These girls have known no home, no parents and no family outside the orphanage. And yet they were so happy. They even performed a really happy comic play for us and were tutored to say, Please see 'Race'.

"We were deeply moved to see all these cute little girls with their twinkling eyes. Both Mustan and I donated Rs.100,000 each."

Abbas ends the topic with an embarrassed shrug.

"What's there to talk about it? It's such a small matter. These children deserve a lot more."

The duo's forthcoming release is Saif Ali Khan-Akshaye Khanna starrer "Race".
