Nayanthara in Kolamaavu Kokila

Nayanthara who is choosing women centric films has right now Aramm, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, Imaikka Nodigal, Velaikkaran and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy which are in different stages of production.

Amidst all these, there came an announcement yesterday that her next would be titled as Kolamaavu Kokila aka CO CO. The film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Vettai Mannan fame is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. The announcement came yesterday from Sivakarthikeyan through his Twitter handle.

The shooting has begun from Wednesday in Chennai. The entire film is said to be canned in the city and its outskirts. The film will reportedly be a mixture of crime and comedy with a liberal dose of sentiment thrown in. It can’t be slotted in a particular genre, but would be centred around crime. For now, the team has confirmed Yogi Babu as the comedian and also roped in Saranya Ponvannan for an important role. Talks are in progress to zero in on the rest of the cast.
