Nalan Kumarasamy denies his part in Bala's next

Director Bala is basking in the success of his recent directorial Naachiyaar with Jyothika and GV Prakash but has moved on to the pre-production work of his next film Varma, which is the Tamil remake of the Telugu superhit Arjun Reddy featuring Vijay Devarakonda. Varma also will be the debut launch vehicle of Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram. Director Raju Murugan of Joker fame will be writing the dialogues for Varma.
The latest talk doing the rounds in Kollywood corridor is that Nalan Kumarasamy of Soodhu Kavvum fame, and Thiagarajan Kumararaja of Aaranya Kaandam fame are coming together to write the story for Bala’s next film after Varma.
But Nalan dismisses these to be baseless and says, “I went for the discussion of Tharai Thappattai, and post the release of that film, both Thiagarajan and I worked on a script two years ago. But that didn’t materialize. I was even asked if I had a hand in the script of Naachiyaar, but that’s not true either.”
