Premigaagi Naa Kannada Movie
Kannada film industry is witnessing a phase of stock clearance releases week after week these days. Except for some films made by some established producers and film crew, you see continuous release of films made by new producers with rank new comers working in the film.
The inexperienced bunch of artists and technicians have been making films with weak plots and ill conceived projects. Snehapriya directed Premigaagi Naa is one such film which utterly fails to provide relief for the audience in any segment of film making.
It is a sure torture for the audience to watch Premigaagi Naa for a full one hundred fifty minutes. Even while you are watching the film you see many of the viewers walking out of the theatre.
Premigaagi Naa director Snehapriya looks utterly confused in his narration. The film is neither a love story as the title relates or a story of friendship, an element which is strongly focused in the beginning of the film. And he has taken too many responsibilities in the film including writing lyrics for some songs. He has made a bad job of writing the script and handling the total project. The film does not engage the audience even for ten minutes.
And the slip shod work of the director gets reflected in the work of other technicians. Uninspiring camera angles and ordinary camera work does not confirm to the high standards of cinematographic work seen in Kannada films these days. Rather than doing some quality work in his hundredth musical venture, Music director Rajesh Ramanath has created a hotpotch of music compositions. The film's new artists look pale on screen and lack the energy levels to showcase their talents.
The story revolves around an orphan Ramu who is brought up by his aunt. Ramu is in love with Prema, the younger daughter of his Aunt. This alliance has gained acceptance from elders in the family. Ramu wants to continue with his musical pursuits which is encouraged by his Aunt. But there comes a twist in the tale which makes the Aunt to disbelieve Ramu. She forces her daughter Prema to marry another person who is a close friend of Ramu. And in the second half of the film which moves in a tortoise pace, there are a few twists in the film which are badly narrated.
New comers Shankar and Vandana make a very bad debut in their film. Their lack of experience may be a handicap, but Snehapriya has utterly failed to get good performances from these artists. Veterans Dwarakish, Umashri and Abhinaya have very little in the film to show off their talents.
As earlier said the film fails even in the technical departments.
You can as well miss this film.
