Nam Yajamanru Kannada Movie

Dr.Vishnuvardhan's 197th film Nam Yejamaanaru directed by Nagabharana is now ready and hitting the screens on Frdiay, the 27th February. The film seems to be all over in channels, hoardings, newspapers and has been the topic of discussion among the film fraternity also. The reason - it has been nearly fourteen months since the Super Star's film has been released and the fans are in a hugely expectant mood. Ee Bhandana starring Dr. Vishnuvardhan and actor-politician Jayaprada was released in December 2007 to a good response.

Dr. Vishnuvardhan has a huge fan following across the state and has been able to retain the Star Status almost for more than 35 years. He has enjoyed a constant patronage from his loyal which includes a large section of women who see his films for the story content and also high performance levels of the actor. Though he started as an action hero in the beginning of his career, there has been a steady increase among his female fans because most of his films have a strong sentimental quotient.

As Nam Yejamaanaru fever catches up, expectations are high among his fans. Already the film has been sold to all distribution areas. The producer however says that he has sold the film on distribution commission basis by obtaining Non returnable advance.

Nam Yejamaanaru is based on the original story and screenplay written by award winning film director Nagabharana who has won nine National awards and a number of state government film awards to his credit. He is the only film director to have won three National awards for directing the Best Film promoting National Integration.

Nagabharana had earlier directed Dr. Vishnu in the film Bangarada Jinke which was made in the early eighties.

"Dr. Vishnu has grown taller as a performer in this gap. And it would be very difficult for any director to create a right script for this fantastic actor. The director's responsibility is heightened because he has to balance the expectations of the fans and also the requirements of the script. That is a big challenge. I hope in that respect I have emerged successful in Nam Yejamaanaru," says Nagabharana.

According to Nagabharana the narrative will be fresh and novel. "This film is a complete family entertainer. We have elements of mystery, emotion, sentiment and a little bit of fun too in the script. The music will be another highlight of the film. Hamsalekha has given the best re-recording work seen in Kannada films recently," adds Nagabharana.

Dr. Vishnu says that he has just followed Nagabharana's instructions to portray the role of a person who has to save a mentally disturbed girl despite facing a personal tragedy. Actor and dancer Lakshmi Gopalaswamy is paired with Vishnu in the film, but it is Navya Nair's role which gets major focus in the film. Young actor Vijaya Raghavendra plays another important role in the film.

Malayalam actress Navya Nair who has been working in more number of Kannada films after the huge success of her first film Gaja says that she is lucky enough to get such a author backed role in her second Kannada film. "Such a role has come to me after a long time. I was always asking too many questions to Nagabharana sir to get into the right mood of the role. And it was a great opportunity for me to work with such fantastic artists like Dr. Vishnuvardhan and Anant Nag. I am expecting a lot from this film," says Navya Nair.
