Aramane the newly released film starring Kannada film industry's Golden Star Ganesh is a neatly presented film directed by his friend and actor Nagashekhar who took up the responsibility of direction for the first time for this film. It has a simple story narrated in a straight forward manner without creating any confusion for the audience. In this respect, actor turned film director Nagashekhar has succeeded in engaging the audience with the film which is neat and simple.

Nagashekhar has given more prominence to the emotional content in his narration. Though Aramane starts off as a light comedy in the beginning, the emotional part starts off immediately and the film takes a different course with focus on elements of both comedy and emotions. And in the second half it is the emotional content that has a major share in narration. Nagashekhar should have taken a little care in tuning his script in the post interval period, as it is in the second half that the film slows in pace.

Though Nagashekhar is ably assisted by cameraman Chandru and his editor Soundar Rajan, surprisingly the musical work of Gurukiran is found wanting. The song tunes have not been able to reach the standards attained by Ganesh's previous films. And another problem is that the songs are not so well shot to create any interest among the audience. Though the story and narration comes on top in Aramane, a feeling of let down will be felt as far as the music is concerned.

Amar is working as a photographer in a studio. In one of his assignments, he had to meet a rich and influential person Rajashekhara Urs who leads an indisciplined life. He rubs Urs in the wrong side in the beginning, but later Urs finds him to be a good buddy. And finally Urs requests Amar to take up a big assignment of taking a photo of all of his family members who have deserted him. And now the biggest challenge for Amar is to find them and iron out the differences in the family. How Amar goes on with this work forms the major content of the story.

The major attraction of the film is certainly the top line performances from lead artists Ganesh and Versatile actor Anant Nag who compliment well with each other. Both these artists have performed so well that you can well feel that they were competing with each other. Malayalam actress Roma who has been introduced in this film delivers a decent performance in the film. Tara, Avinash, Karibasayya have done well in their respective roles.

Chandru's camera work has been just apt to the narration of the script. 'Kolle' and 'Nagu Nagu' songs are catchy.

Aramane has a touching narration with a straight forward simple narration which can appeal to the audience. And top class performances from Ganesh and Anant Nag will also be a major attraction.
