Moggina Manasu Kannada Movie
In these days when the Kannada film industry has been ravaged by gangster films and remake ventures, any film with a little original thought and fresh approach is bound to largely please the Kannada film fans. Moggina Manasu released recently is one such film which strikes the chord immediately with its breezy narration.
Director Shashank has done well to narrate an interesting plot containing the story of four teen aged girls each of them possessing different mindsets. He has been helped by a near perfect cast and good technical work by veterans. The film is essentially made to a target group of young audience, and is perfectly moulded to largely appeal to that section. Most of the other characters in the film are well etched.
Shashank has succeeded largely because he has made the story believable and has not pushed the film to a melodramatic zone. And though the film centers around the four girls, he has not diluted any importance to the other characters which also look real. But the weak point in the whole film is that the film drags many a time and Shashank could have re looked on this aspect.
And the surprising element is that the new artists who have been introduced in this film have also performed very well. The real surprise is Radhika Pandit who has done exceptionally well in her first film. To enact a complex character in her first film can be a big challenge to any fresh talent, but Radhika Pandit has been able to manage a miracle. Shubha Poonja who has acted in three films in Kannada and Tamil has done a neat job and she needs good challenging roles in the future. The other two girls Sangeetha Shetty and Manasi have limited opportunities, but they have perfectly filled in the bill. And among the boys, it is Yash who stands out, though the performances of others like Skanda, Harsha and Manoj can not be belittled.
Moggina Manasu has some fantastic technical work which enhances the film's quality. Mano Murthy once again comes out with his melodious tunes, though one song tune just resembles an A.R.Rehman number in the film Taal. Chandrashekhar has shown his brilliance behind the camera.
