Krishna Kannada Movie
Ganesh starred Krishna directed by M.D.Sridhar is a well made film with a simple story line. There is no complication in the way the film is narrated except for a small flashback that comes in the second half. And the film has competent performances from lead artists Ganesh, Sharmila and Pooja Gandhi. The dialogues of the film have lot of strength and the climax sequence has been shot very well. The only negative point in the film is the music composition of Hari Krishna who has not been able to repeat the magic of his previous films like Jothe Jotheyalli and Snehaanaa Preethinaa. If at all the music could have been slightly better then the film could have been liked better.
Director Sridhar has followed the age old method of sticking on to the story line and not deviating an inch from the main plot. The story revolves around three lead characters. And the narration is devoid of any cheap elements. And he has been able to get a committed support from his artists and technicians. Dialogue writer B.A.Madhu has done a better work by writing some sparkling dialogues.
Ganesh plays his real life role of a television anchor in the film. Like in his real life, he plays the role of an anchor of a comedy show. His body language as a television anchor and as a casual worker much earlier in the film is perfect. And he dances well though the dances are pale in comparison with the dances in all the three previous films. The choreographers could have done a better job.
Krishna is a television anchor who had a tiff with a girl Pooja. Pooja stays in the downstairs house while Krishna a rented accommodation in the first floor of the same house. Pooja likes Krishna as an anchor and even participates in many phones in programmers. After many tiffs with Krishna, Pooja proposes to Krishna. But Krishna reveals his own story. He was in love with a girl Anjali and had even taken care of the problems of her family. But Anjali on the advice of her parents decide to go into wedlock with another rich man. A dejected Krishna comes back to city to become an anchor. Then he comes across Anjali who has been duped by the rich man. Krishna helps Anjali to complete her medical course. Meanwhile, Pooja is still hopeful of marrying Krishna. And then Anjali seeks pardon from Krishna wants him to marry her. What happens later forms the climax.
Ganesh has performed well in this role which required him to emote well. Many times his facial expressions in some vital sequences are touching. Sharmila once again proves that she is a good actress. Pooja has worked out on her make up and looks glamorous on screen. She has done a good job. Sharan raises chuckles with his one liners and comical performance. Avinash, Vinaya Prakash and Sudha Belawadi have delivered committed performances.
Though Chandru has done a commendable job behind the camera, the music composition of Harikrishna could have been better. The music is the sore point of the film.
Krishna is a well made film with fine performances from artists.
Rating: Three stars.
