Yuga Yugagale Saagali Kannada Movie
'Yuga Yugagale Saagali' is a love story that neatly unfolds on celluloid. Debutant director Shashank Raj has gone in for a straight forward method of narrating the story. The story does not offer anything new, but Shashank has narrated the story with some exciting sequences and well choreographed song sequences. And he has also been able to extract very good performances from all the artists.
The film starts with a college romance between Shashi and Swathi, two youngsters hailing from diverse backgrounds. While Swathi insists that they should marry without informing their elders, Shashi has other ideas. He says that he is capable of convincing the elders which would enable for a smooth and happy marriage. He gets the nod of his family members first, but later he gets a shock of his life when he comes to know that his lady love's family is pitted against his own family over an incident that had happened a few years ago. Swathi's brother Vasanth opposes the marriage tooth and nail and it becomes difficult for the lovers to make any movement towards their marriage. In a well picturised climax scene the film sends out a message that love is eternal and any conflict can not break the bond of love.
New comers Yashas and Meghana Ghosha have delivered decent performances in their respective roles. Yashas is full of energy in the action sequences. Veteran actor Anant Nag is underutilised in the film, but Sharath Lohithashwa comes up with a fantastic performance. Surprisingly, the producer Vasanth Kumar shines in his debut film and he could certainly go places if he takes up his acting career seriously.
Hamsalekha has written good lyrics and has composed two popular tunes in the film including the title song. Nageshwara Rao scores in his camera work, in his first film as a full fledged cameraman.
'Yuga Yugagale Saagali' is a neatly narrated film which can be watched without any inhibitions by the family audience.
