Live Free or Die Hard English Movie
"Live Free or Die Hard" or 'Die Hard 4' offers everything that Bruce Willis fans wish to see - unbelievable stunts, incredible car chases, explosions and small doses of fist and fury. All this keeps viewers hooked till the end.
The 50 plus actor is a treat to watch in this high voltage action drama. In fact, the film is a testimony to Willis' unyielding star power. As an aging and balding cop John McClane, he takes audiences through weird but spectacular action sequences and proves that he has the charisma to carry a film like this entirely on his shoulders - even 12 years after the third "Die Hard" sequel released.
Can you imagine a car destroying a helicopter? McClane makes the impossible possible. And he pulls it off with such finesse that you don't find anything abnormal in it. And amidst all the mayhem, he keeps throwing his punchy one-liners.
The film is about a high-tech Internet-based terrorist group led by sulking Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant) who attacks US infrastructure with a virus capable of destroying everything. And no one except McClane can stop them.
The rugged super cop takes the help of a young computer wizard Matt Farrell (Justin Long) to understand the complexities of the computer menace.
Deftly shot action sequences are the mainstay of the film and Willis' chemistry with his co-star Long and his witty dialogues further make it a sumptuous treat for his fans.
As far as the script goes, the story is predictable and has no believable characters in it. Director Len Wiseman has thrown a bit of emotions here and there to make it realistic. And thankfully, the occasional display of emotions doesn't obstruct the flow of the story.
"Live Free or Die Hard" is not as good as the first two but certainly better than the third instalment "Die Hard with a Vengeance".
A must watch for Willis fans.
