'Rajeeva' is supposed to be a film made on the dynamic exploits of five police officer team of the Bangalore City Crime Branch. But in reality the film is a crudely made product which ends up as a nightmarish experience for the viewers. It is neither a violent film nor a daring action film, but an immature exercise made by technicians lacking in sensitivity and sensibility.

Director Ravi Srivatsa who had made a reasonably watchable film like 'Deadly Soma' has come out with a cropper this time. The film projects the entire police force, politicians, and press as something of bad criminals who are on to wipe out the small but significant honest police officers.

But what are the actions of these honest and dynamic daredevil police officers. The five member team of police officer point out their guns to a criminal already lying on floors and pump in bullets and laugh there after in front of people watching this gory scene. . The criminal is lying in a pool of blood. Within half an hour of the film you see a minimum thirty bodies being killed in a similar fashion by the five police officers who in reality act and look like psychopaths. These gory killings test your patience and then start the flashback sequences which make you yawn. Even the climax sequences are a disaster to say the least. Even senior police officers and politicians will behave like people with mental disorder and speak in a language that is unacceptable to the positions they hold. And even the censors have done enough damage for the film as they have rightly chopped off many sequences and dialogues of the film. Therefore the continuity sequences are missing and even the dialogues that are allowed do not leave anything to imagination.

There is no story as such in the film and only grew some murders happen all the time. Inspector Rajeeva and his four colleagues who work in City Crime Branch are given the task of elimination crimes in the city by an honest police commissioner. They become encounter specialists and take law into their own hands. Result thirty odd killings. Then it is human rights commission that puts an end to their activities. Finally they are brought back and they continue with their encounter killings to wipe out criminals. A Dubai based don does not like it and he uses his influence in getting the police commissioner transferred. The new police commissioner is dishonest and he creates division among the unity of five officers. Finally all the five officers get killed and the villain's gang emerges victorious.

Vijaya Raghavendra is a fine actor as he has proved in many films about his talents. But in this film he has nothing to do other than use his pistol liberally and gesticulating in a villainess face. Rakshitha as the woman police officer looks dashing in the designer wear dresses and the cooling glass, but she has nothing much to do in terms of performance. Nothing could be said of other artists.

The technical department has also not done anything to salvage the film. It is a totally a wasted effort. Audiences are strictly advised to watch the film at their own risk.
