Payum Puli Malayalam Movie

Mallika, her sister Maya and their grand parents live in the Gokulam Tharavaadu located in the heart of Kochi and now worth several crores. Though their ancestral home is worth millions, its occupants are on the verge of penury. Ravi Shankar is Mallika's half brother, being the product of her father's first marriage. Ravi Shankar sells the Gokulam Tharavaadu to one Mr. Jose, who has bought the property on behalf of his son to develop into a star hotel.

Saravanan is an employee of Kozhikode-based Ninan's Finance Group. His job is to collect the dues from people who took loans from the company, and he is posted to Kochi. He asks an old acquaintance Mucheetu Rehman to arrange accommodation for him in town. It is a portion of the Gokulam Tharavaadu that Rehman arranges for Saravanan. Saravanan however gets thrown out shortly after taking up residence for not adhering to the rules of the house as imposed by Mallika.

Mallika however, is not able to reimburse the advance collected from Rehman prior to leasing out the premises to Saravanan, and she is forced to allow the latter to continue staying there. But the relationship between them is far from cordial, and conflagrations flare up at the least provocation. It is at this juncture that eviction notice is served on the occupants of Gokulam Tharavaadu. Saravanan who hitherto could not see eye to eye with Mallika now comes to her aid.

Paayum Puli produced by Kabir Palakkad and directed by Mohan Kupplery has Kalabhavan Mani and Rambha coming together for the first time. The story, script and dialogues are by Biju Devassy. Srishankar wields the camera. The film is being shot in and around Kochi and purports to be an action thriller.
