Nanma Malayalam Movie

Muthu Chettiar is an immigrant laborer from Tamil Nadu who comes to Kerala with his three children Nakulan, Sita and Unni. His only aim is the well being of the children. He does all kinds of odd jobs to earn a living. One of the things that he does is retrieving dead bodies that come floating along the backwaters. What even fire and rescue personnel are reluctant to touch, Muthu Chettiar does, giving due respect to the dead.

It is Chettiar's earnest wish that his children do not have to do the kind of menial jobs that he has to do. He wants them to get decent jobs. But a job that Nakulan was about to get is snatched away from him. This makes him disillusioned and he slowly gravitates to a gang of goondas. Nakulan's affinity with the underworld makes it difficult for Chettiar to marry off his daughter. This creates discord in the family.

Nanma tells the story of the relationship between father and son. Kalabhavan Mani plays the role of Muthu Chettiar, while Rahman does that of Nakulan. The film is directed by Sarathchandran Wayanad, who also does the story and the screenplay. It is scheduled to be released in the second half of May.
