This is one film which started off ten years ago, finished its talkie portions shooting in eight years and had finished its song sequences shooting a few months ago. The producer of this film should be complimented for his guts to release this film with such a distinctive background of the film. The only reason you may think off is that the producer did not want to have a feeling that his efforts of a finished product should not go unnoticed by the audience.

If at all you are an ardent film buff and you can not afford to miss any film that gets released, then it is up to your fate to go through an ordeal for nearly two hours and thirty minutes. The film comes as a 35 mm venture in the sequences, but it enlarges to a cinema scope presentation during the songs. That is because the songs have been shot after an eight year gap. The viewers can easily notice the changes in the facial structure of the artists because of the age factor.

Kashinath was certainly an actor who entertained the Kannada film audience with some well packaged films produced and directed by him. But his downtrend started when he started acting in films under other producers and directors. Kashinath was used and misused terribly and these films with lot of double meaning entendre were enough to keep the family audience out of the theatres. Kashinath’s image got spoiled, but still the actor was in demand once in a way.

"Bitti Thaali Gatti Mela" presents Kashinath in the role of a reformer Dolluraja who tries to reform the Singanayakanapalya village. Veeranna and Chandanna are the two cruel chieftans of the village who exploit people to get rich and usurp property. Dollu Raja also puts an end to the atrocities of the chieftans.

This may well go down as the worst film Kashinath has ever acted. Even his performance and dialogues do not have penetration to entertain the audience. Madhuri is the heroine of this film who comes and goes out of the film at her will. Perhaps the director has used the actress whenever she was free from her assignments. The villains Lohithaswa and Shivakumar have nothing much to do in the film but shout at the roof tops. Some of the artists in the film might have had sour throats while they dubbed for the film.

This worst film has some worst technical inputs. Rajesh Ramanath has taken his work very easy while composing the music. Watching this film is a sheer waste of time and you would definitely curse yourself for making a foolish decision.
