Ekaandam Malayalam Movie

KPA Menon retired after years of service. Having lived a busy life, the prospect of retirement is daunting. The death of his wife makes matters worse. The couple had no children, and Menon becomes absolutely lonely. He returns to his native village and to his ancestral home where his brother Ramunni lives, hoping to find solace there. But Ramunni's predicament is equally bad. With the children grown up and settled, Ramunni also leads a lonely life, reminiscing on the past.

Ekaandam tells the story of the loneliness and helplessness that retired persons experience at the fag end of their lives. Madhu Kaithapram who has worked for several years as assistant to Director Jayaraj makes his directorial debut with this film. Thilakan and Murali, who play the roles of KPA Menon and Ramunni respectively, present totally new characters in this film. Manoj K Jayan and Meera Jasmine also have meaty role to play in the film.
