Vattaram Tamil Movie

'Vattaram' is produced and directed by Saran. The film stars Arya, Napolean and a new girl Kirat Bhattal, a Delhi based model. She has earlier modelled for Sri Kumaran Silks and Lakme.

The film highlights a mafia story which promises to be gripping with all commercial elements. It has the makings of a good entertainer. It is an action-oriented film, different from the gangster movies doing the rounds in Tamil Cinema.

The story of 'Vattaram' revolves around Burma (Arya), an orphan for whom Burma Bazaar in Chennai is his home. He faces a lot of obstacles and comes out of them in a hard way. The people of his area call him 'Vattaram' and he sells imported guns to the rich and powerful in the state.

Napolean plays the role of a rich tycoon and Kirat plays the role of his daughter who falls in love with Arya. Vattaram is also packaged smartly to appeal to the youth. The music has been scored by Bharadwaj. The music will be very heart warming, says Saran.

A major part of the film was shot in Chennai and its suburbs at real locations. Some scenes and songs were shot in Goa and Kerala. 'Vattaram' is almost complete with a few days of shooting remaining and is aiming to hit the screens this Diwali.
