Nadaaniyan Hindi Movie
A privileged Delhi socialite hires a middle-class student to pose as her boyfriend to maintain her social status. Their pretense becomes complicated when genuine feelings develop between them.
Nadaaniyan, a Netflix romantic comedy featuring Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor, has received mostly negative reviews from critics. Many reviews criticize its lackluster storytelling, underwhelming performances, and reliance on overused romantic tropes. Firstpost and Medium both label the film as "boring" and "undercooked," while Indian Express calls it a rehash of Karan Johar romcoms without the same charm. Some reviews acknowledge its attempts at being lively but ultimately find it shallow (NDTV). The Hindu and Rediff note that the film, designed as a launchpad for its lead actors, fails to leave an impact. However, Times of India sees some potential despite calling it "as shallow as Instagram posts," and Filmfare is the most positive, describing it as a "breezy rom-com" that may appeal to Gen-Z audiences.
Verdict:
Nadaaniyan struggles to stand out in the romantic comedy genre, relying too heavily on cliché storytelling and weak chemistry between its leads. While it may find some appeal among younger viewers, the lack of depth and originality makes it an underwhelming watch for most audiences.
