Ente Veedu Apoonteyum Malayalam Movie
Viswanathan, Meera and little Vasudev form a very happy family. Meera is not Vasu's real mother. She had married Viswanathan, who was a widower and the father of a little boy. And she had never tried to keep Vasu in the dark about these truths, and she had always loved Vasu as her own son. For Vasu, Meera was his mother and his best friend too. They live happily. In the meantime Meera gives birth to a son, and it is Vasu who is the happiest. He names his little brother Appu and cares much for him. But then, gradually, Vasu begins to feel that Appu is getting more attention from his parents and that he himself is being neglected. That begins to create problems. And then Vasu does something horrible that gets him imprisoned in the juvenile home.
Kalidas steals the show as Vasu, while Jayaram is his usual self as Viswanathan and plays to perfection his character. Jyothirmayi appeals as Meera. Siddique as the friendly cop George, Nedumudi Venu as the doctor, Shammi Thilakan as the tough cop Chandran and Prem Prakash as the lawyer gives able support to the lead players. Anyhow, it is Kalidas all along the way and it is a matter of no doubt that he will win over the hearts of the family audience.
Of the songs penned by Gireesh Puthencherry and set to tune by Ouseppachchan, "Doore oru kurunilam sooryanaayi ..." and "Vaavaavo ..." are melodious, while the song "Thappo thappo ...", rendered in the voices of Jayaram and Kalidas has come off quite well. Cinematography by Venugopal and story and script by Sanjay and Bobby are the highlights of the film. It is the excellent scriptwork by the duo that had helped the director to make a really watchable movie.
In short, Ente Veedu, Appoontem is a film that touches you deep in the heart and even arouses your thoughts to a certain extent.
