'Parijatham' is truly a moving and honest movie with refreshingly new faces on a song. Combined with acting skills and sensitive direction the quite film provides complete entertainment as the plot unfolds before your eyes.

K Bhagyaraj, who has written the story, screenplay and directed the movie, has returned after a long interval with a big bang. Through 'Parijatham,' he has proved beyond doubt that he is a master storyteller.

Here goes the story...

Seethamma (Seetha) a wealthy lady comes to her hometown after a long time. She embarks on a quest to find a perfect bride for her son Surender (Prithviraj). She appoints Sumathi (Saranya), as her caretaker. Sumathi is the daughter of a man (Sharath Babu) who has gone from riches to rags. He was the previous owner of the bungalow in which Seethamma lives now.

Impressed by Sumathi's demeanor and sincerity in her work and simplicity in character, Seethamma fantasizes about Sumathi as her own daughter-in-law. Her opinion gradually matures and she decides to get Sumathi married to her son.

One day when Sumathi was narrating a story written by her, Seethamma splutters notwithstanding the way the story ends. She tells Sumathi to change the ending by uniting the lead pair in the story and thereby reveals her intentions to see Sumathi wedded to her son Surender. Sumathi is overjoyed and feels happy about her future prospects.

But Sumathi's dream turns topsy-turvy, when Seethamma passes away suddenly. Surender and his father come to the town and goes on a search to find the girl that Seethamma has fixed for her son. To fulfill his mother's last wish, Surender is determined to marry only the girl that his mother has seen for him.

Sampoornam (K.Bhagyaraj) comes to Seethamma's house as a relative, and helps Surender identify the girl that Seethamma has fixed for him. How does he find out is told lucidly in the remaining part of the film?

Saranya, daughter of K.Bhagyaraj is simply charming. Even in her debut film, she has proven that she is mega talented by her absolutely amazing performance. Impeccably raw and filled with her own electrical on-screen presence, she has handled a role, meant only for a seasoned actors, with ease.

Prithviraj has a light in him that can keep a village lit during a storm for several days. His on-screen chemistry with Saranya would go well with the audience.

Prakash Raj is in his usual adorable and edible self. Sharath Babu and Seetha are aptly cast.

Heartfelt vocals from music director Dharan are positively riveting, mesmerizing and matches the mood of the film.

On the flip side the movie is little too long.

The story will go down smoothly and as sweetly as an orange juice drop. Enjoy.
