Nireekshana Telugu Movie
Thespian Rama Naidu, who has been pinning his hopes of a hit on this Telugu film, should wait for another to break his jinx. The film "Nireekshana" can boast of neither a good plot nor skilful treatment.
One can only wonder how the movie mogul of 100-odd films and the maker of classics like "Ramudu Bheemudu" and "Prem Nagar" could approve of such a project. The veteran, whose last hit was "Preminchu", seems to have lost his touch.
Debutant director Sitaram leaves several loopholes in the script. After establishing a strong father-daughter relationship, it is ridiculous for him to show the former locking his beloved daughter in a farmhouse on suspicion that she is in love. The less said about the inconsistent characterisation of Aryan Rajesh the better.
The sick comedy of Dharmavarapu Subramanyam and party tests your nerves.
Aryan, who had moderate hits in "Leela Mahal Center" and "Evadi Gola Vaadithi", gets the wrong script this time. The ill-conceived role could dent his newfound success.
Glam girl Sridevi impresses as a timid and idealistic rich girl. But she becomes confused when she is locked up. She has to keep making faces before she is rescued.
Nagababu, brother of Chiranjeevi, plays a doting father but his sudden transformation into a ruthless father is overdone. Veteran Ramaprabha impresses as the grandma worried about grandson Aryan.
Srilekha's music is not up to the mark, and her background score is even worse. Sarath's camerawork is pleasing in many scenes.
