Batla House boasts of a taut first half and a confident turn by John Abraham in the lead, only to be undone by uneven writing and a wasted climax. However, if it's patriotism you're looking for this weekend at a theater near you, this Nikkhil Advani film is not the worst bet you can make.

Inspired by true events, the film is decent, yet monotonous at times. Its the freedom week and the film is full of patriotism!Jhon Abraham is as serious as ever in the film, continuing in the same way as in Parmanu and Satyameva Jayate etc.
