The movie 'Dass' promises to be an entertainer from the highly successful production house Lakshmi Movie makers. Ravi of ‘Jayam’ fame and his recent hit M.Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi puts him in the lead. This is probably the first film after he starred in the remakes of two telugu movies and in the pipeline is mazhai, remake of the hit telugu film, varsham. This is also the first film which is not from his home production company. The story is written and directed by Babu Yogeswaran who was the script writer for the highly successful television series “Annamalai”.
The story revolves around a hero who is a Christian and a heroine who is a Hindu. Circumstances put them in a position where they have to find shelter in a Muslim household. Whether they find thier shelter there or not forms the rest of the story and the director promises a film with lots of action and with a liberal dose of love and sentiment. The screenplay is said to done in such a way that it will keep the viewers guessing till the last moment. Music is one aspect which promises to be a winner. Highly acclaimed music director Yuvan Shankar Raja is said to have churned out great hits once again.
Though the movie seems a bit old on concept (the usual stuff about inter- caste love affair) it promises to be an entertainer because of the screenplay and is one of the movies to look out for in the near future.
