In this slow-paced narration, director S.V. Krishna Reddy dishes out a touching tale about the reunion of childhood friends. Adept in handling sentimental themes, he does a good job, but could have done better with a racy screenplay.

His attempt to capture multiple shades of feelings between the lead characters does not add to the film's appeal. After all, the plot itself has enough of melodrama.

This re-make of Tamil hit "Azhagi" gives Reddy a chance to bounce back. But the lachrymose tenor of the film, along with the absence of a comedy track, may limit the film's appeal to a section of viewers.

After a long gap, Srikanth gets a role with scope for histrionics. He breathes life into his character to prove that he can handle serious roles besides his usual comedy stuff. After "Sesh", talented Malayalam actress Kalyani gets a meaty role and she does full justice to it. While Gopika is okay, comedian Sivaji Raja excels as Srikanth's friend.

The Keeravani-Krishna Reddy duo made a hit score for "Pellam Oorelithe", but fails to come up with an interesting album now. Keeravani could have retained a few tunes of maestro Illayraja of the original instead of churning out not-so-impressive tunes. But he manages to make up for this with a creditable background score.

The story is about Srikanth and Gopika leading a happy life with their kid until Srikanth finds his childhood friend (Kalyani) as a civic worker. He is shocked to see her plight. A flashback reveals that young Kalyani was a rich girl while young Srikanth was poor. They became good friends but failed to disclose their love for each other. Kalyani got married to another man while Srikanth marrieed Gopika.

Cut to the present. To provide Kalyani a decent living, he takes her home as a domestic help. Gopika starts suspecting an affair between the two after seeing his concern for Kalyani and her kid. The rest of the story is about how the matter gets resolved.
