Daveed Philippose (Fahad Fazil) is called D P Pallikkal by all. He is an American Malayali whose family shifted to America when Daveed was 3 years old.
His greatest wish is to make a movie. He is in search of the apt person to do the protagonist in his movie. After a long wait he comes across his main character (Bollywood actor Vijay Raaz). The resulting events are plotted in ‘Monsoon Mangoes’.
The movie is shot in New Orleans in USA. ‘Monsoon Mangoes’ is the debut directorial venture of Abi Varghese, the director of the Television sitcom “Akkarakkazhchakal”.
The dialogues are penned by Naveen Bhaskar, the scenarist of ‘ABCD’. The script is written by Abi Varghese, Naveen Bhaskar, and Matt Grubb.
New face Aiswarya Menon is the heroine. The cast also includes Nandu, Tovino Thomas, Vinay Forrt, Ambika, Sanju Sivaram, Thambi Antony, and Jacob Gregory.
