Brother of Bommali Telugu Movie
Rama Krishna (Allari Naresh) and Lakshmi (Karthika Nair) are fraternal twins who behave exactly opposite to each other. While Lakshmi bully and always pick fights, it is Rama Krishna who always faces the wrath of Lakshmi's deeds. Later Rama Krishna falls in love with Shruti (Monal Gajjar) and very soon Shruti responds to him too. However Rama Krishna's parents vexed up with Lakshmi's Tomboyish behaviour and puts a condition to Rama Krishna only to marry after his sister gets married. The rest of the story is all about how Rama Krishna finds a suitable groom and marries to his sister and thereby gets himself married.
The film mostly runs on between Allari Naresh and Karthika and both of them have delivered refreshing performances. Karthika showcased her talent very well in a different kind of character while Allari Naresh responded equally well with his excellent emoting in Frustration scenes. Monal Gajjar is okay in the little role while Harsha Vardhan Rane, Abhimanyu Singh and Bhanu Sri Mehra are fine in the cameo like roles. Brahmanandam and Kelly Dorjee are totally wasted while Vennela Kishore, Ali, Srinivas Reddy played their part well in the supporting roles.
B.Chinni Krishna, the director of the film has got an interesting concept in hand but failed to execute it well. There are several good sequences in the film but Chinni Krishna failed to knit them together and make an interesting film. Adding to that, the climax is also not appealing. You also get the feeling the director got inspired from several films like Devudu Chesina Manushulu, Arya 2, Manmadhudu, Golmaal, Nuvu Naaku Nachav, Kandhireega, Jayeebhava etc in some scenes.
Despite good production values, Cinematographer Vijaykumar failed to capture good locations. Sekhar Chandra's music is a complete let down while BGM works out. Every song comes as a speed breaker and disturbs the pace of the film. Editing of the film by Gautham Raju is not a good job where he could have easily cut short the film by 15-20minutes. Dialogues work in parts. Fights composed by Ram Lakshman are good.
Finally, Brother of Bommali will end up as one of those movies which will have a great start and promise but fails to capitalize. To simply put it, the film is a wasted oppurtunity for Allari Naresh and Chinni Krishna. Watch it if you have nothing to do this weekend.
