Nee Jathaga Nenundali Telugu Movie
Raghav Jayaram (Sachin Joshi) is the most happening singer who lives life on his own terms. One day he happens to meet a budding talent, Gayatri (Nazia Hussain) in a bar in Goa. He was very impressed with her talent and promised to make her a star singer. Gayatri trusts him and leaves her job. Just then, Raghav meets with an accident creating temporary worry for Gayatri. But later Raghav keeps his word and makes her a big singer. While Gayatri is on a rise, Raghav's career travels opposite. Raghav becomes addicted to wine. What happens in their lives next and how they stand by each other is the rest.
Sachin Joshi was totally unimpressive in the role of Raghav Jayaram. His face do not read any expressions or emotions which were absolutely necessary since there are several shades in the character. Nazia Hussain did a decent job in the role of Gayatri. But if we compare her with Shradda Kapoor in the original, she is totally unmatchable. Shashank did a commendable job as hero's friend and manager. Posani, Prabhas Seenu, Rao Ramesh and others were good in whatever they are offered.
It is very difficult to work on a successful remake even though the director has a open book. The most difficult part is reproducing the feel of the movie. Jaya Ravindra(Bumper Offer fame)faltered only in this aspect. Aashiqui-2 is the toughest remake any one can make since it is most based on the performances of the lead pair. But the lead pair let him down here.
The makers have retained the music of the original and needless to say it is brilliant. Lyricists did a very awkward job writing for those tunes. Camera work is brilliant in songs. Editing is decent.
Finally, Nee Jathaga Nenundali is a failed remake which was a total mishap due to the poor execution of a wonderful subject. Perhaps it is not a subject to be attempted for a remake. But the attempt has been done and the damage is also.
