Mohan Babu to play SV Ranga Rao in Savitri biopic

The biopic of yesteryear actress Savitri is being made in Tamil and Telugu as Nadigayar Thilagam and Mahanati. Keerthy Suresh plays the role of Savitri while Samantha plays a journalist through whose narration; the story is reported to unfold. Prakash Raj also will be seen in the film in a crucial role.

Dulquer Salmaan plays Gemini Ganesan in the film which is directed by Naag Ashwin. Shalini Pandey of Arjun Reddy fame has also been roped in and so is Vijay Devarakonda who would be playing a significant role in the film.

Actor SV Ranga Rao played an important role in the personal as well as professional life of Savitri and he was said to be her major pillar of support. Now for this role, Telugu actor Mohan Babu has been roped into the film. Mohan Babu was earlier seen in Tamil films such as Guru, Vetrikku Oruvan and Annai Oor Aalayam.
