Milan Luthria avoids repeating same genres
Aug 4, 2013 IANSIn over a decade, he has made crime-based drama "Kachche Dhaage"; romantic film "Chori Chori"; action-drama "Deewaar: Let's Bring Our Heroes Home"; underworld thriller "Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai" and biopic "The Dirty Picture".
"I am planning two films. One for next year (2014), the other for the year after that (2015). There is a collaboration with T-Series and there will be one with Balaji (Balaji Motion Pictures)," Luthria told IANS.
"We are still toying with ideas for the films. There are a couple of options for each. I haven't repeated myself, all my films belong to a different genre," he added.
Currently he is busy with Akshay Kumar-Imran Khan-Sonakshi Sinha-starrer "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara", a sequel to Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Kangna Ranaut-starrer "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai".
He said that in "...Dobaraa", he has changed the genre from a gangster film to a love story.
"Even in a sequel I have not repeated the genre. So, I will try my best to not repeat myself. I have been recognised as a person who tries different genres and this has been my attempt from the beginning," he said.
He is also in the process of "establishing my own production house".
"We will be encouraging new directors to make films," he added.
