Mehreen Pirzada in Anand Shankar film

Mehreen Pirzada’s debut film in Tamil was Nenjil Thunivirundhaal directed by Suseenthiran. The film sank without a trace and to add to the woes, director cut short many of Mehreen’s portions and re-released. But sadly so, even this attempt could not get audience to the theatres.

However, Mehreen is a very popular star in Telugu. After she has been the pick of all the filmmakers in Telugu, Mehreen now seems to be the hot property for Tamil filmmakers too. Apparently, the actress has been handpicked by director Anand Shankar for his forthcoming bilingual film to be made in Telugu and Tamil.

Apparently, Mehreen’s natural performance in her earlier films, coupled with her fame has been instrumental in her coming on board. Although Mehreen’s earlier film Nenjil Thunivirundhal (c/o Surya in Telugu) did not do well, the actress has been lauded for her portrayal.
