Manithan does not get tax rebate, Udhayanidhi Stalin to file a case

Manithan directed by Ahamed starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hansika, Prakash Raj, Radha Ravi, Vivek, Aishwarya Rajesh and others hit the screen on the 29th April. The film is produced by Udhay’s home banner Red Giant Films. The court room drama, a remake of the Hindi film Jolly LLB, is liked by people and is appreciated.

The film although got a U certificate, the Tamil Nadu government has not granted it the 30% tax waiver. The reason given to this was that the title is not a Tamil word but a Sanskrit word.

Naturally peeved by this, Udhay retorted, “I am not at all shocked by this. In fact, I would have been surprised if they had given a tax exemption. I am going to file a case as always and fight. This is not something that is new to me.” Click the Movie button below for more info:
