Manimaran's next is Sangathalaivan with Samuthirakani

Director Manimaran who had worked with director Vetri Maaran, had helmed his maiden directorial NH 4 with Siddharth as the lead. The film earned him good name and fame. He later directed Poriyalan and Pugazh too.

Now for his 4th film as director, he would be calling the shots for a venture titled Sanga Thalaivan that will feature Samuthirakani in the lead role and Karunas in a supporting pivotal character. The film will be bankrolled by Vetri Maaran. The story will be set in the areas of Salem, Erode and Tirupur and will focus on the lives of handloom weavers and the struggles they face in the current situation. The weavers have their separate union and Samuthirakani essays the role of a union leader in the movie

It is also reported that Sanga Thalaivan is based on a novel. Shooting of the movie will commence on November 15. Talks are on with actress Iniya and she would be signing the agreement soon. Velraj handles the cinematography while Venkatesh of Visaranai fame will handle the editing of the movie. Click the Movie button below for more info:
